Hope Public Schools met the ESEA school accountability AMO for the 2011-12 school year. The district is listed as Needing Improvement overall, and is listed as Achieving in Literacy and Needs Improvement in graduation rate and target group mathematics. All campuses are fully accredited by the ADE and North Central, and are led by highly qualified teachers.
Goals for the district for the 2012-13 school year include the following:
- Continue the implementation of the Common Core State Standards in grades 3-8 and continue to prepare for the implementation of these standards in grades 9-12.
- Implement the New Tech Network Model to fidelity within HHS, and begin to prepare grades 11-12 for implementation, and revamp HHS to become a cluster of academic and career academies all following the NTN model of Project based learning.
- Research and implement Best Practices in all grades and subject matters, by partnering with JBHM school consultants to develop HPS as a true Professional Learning Community.
- Continue to work to implement a 1:1 student computer ratio, and to provide students with the most recent and best technology to enhance and motivate learning.
- Work with all patrons to provide an open line of communication between the school district and community members, parents, and all stakeholders.
- Value and respect all learners and stakeholders as important parts of the professional learning community.
- Implement the state of Arkansas’ Teacher Evaluation System to fidelity.
- Improve and develop current facilities, and explore all funding options to provide our community with the finest learning facility filled with appropriate technology.
- Continue to achieve and show growth in all tested areas with all students.
- Continue to develop career opportunities for graduates by partnering with UACCH to enhance concurrent credit and transitions to the workforce with Career Coaches.
